Siltape Silicone Perforated Tape 2cm x 3m CR3938

Siltape is made from soft silicone which is gentle on the skin, this is particularly useful in patients with very thin, friable skin which is vulnerable to damage. Silicone does not cell strip in the same way that other adhesives may damage tissue.

Siltape can be used in any situation where a regular adhesive tape would be used where friable or sensitive skin is an issue.

Siltape is a perfect solution to taping down eyelids for procedures. Glue based tapes are often used, these can be painful to remove and in some cases cause tissue damage or pull out eyelashes.

Siltape is ideal for protecting friable tissue from pressure damage or sores from tubing; this is especially useful on the face and tops of ears. Siltape can be applied directly to the skin and tubing placed on top. Siltape can also be used for scar management.

It is a single use product. If used on more than one patient, cross-contamination or infection could be possible.

The 2cm wide did the job.
Review by
I had been using the 4cm wide tape with perforations to tape my eyelids shut at night but last night I tried the 2cm wide & liked it better. It still seals real well & retapes if I have to lift it up in the night. The wider (4cm) tape was pulling my upper eyelids a bit too much after 7 months of consistently using it so I tried the 2cm & was surprised to see it worked very well too without the pulling & stretching of my upper eyelid, so I'm buying 12 boxes of it today!
