MediGenix CoolMeds Medicine & Insulin Isothermic Travel Case (2 - 8°C for 12-18 hrs)

The MediGenix CoolMeds isothermic bag has been specially designed, using high-quality materials, to safely transport temperature sensitive medicine between 2-8°C for 12-18hrs*.

What makes this bag special is that it is fitted with an integrated digital thermometer, which gives the user peace of mind by allowing them to monitor the bag’s internal temperature without opening the bag.
There are 4 elasticated product loops and the netted pouch to ensure that products are kept at the optimal position in the carry bag (suitable for vials, syringes and pens).
As a guide, the internal space accommodates 4 pens that are up to 18cm long and 2cm in diameter. The bag itself is made from high-quality material for maximum insulation inside and canvas on the outside.

It comes with two CoolMeds Cold Packs with double outer covers which offer a longer cooling effect and durability during frequent use.
Along with two CoolMeds Buffer packs which absorb excessive cold and protect the medicine from freezing or over-cooling.
These can also be bought separately as they are good to have as spares and should be replaced every year.
Internal thermometer batteries (2 x AG13 batteries) are also included.

FAQs
Can the cold packs be reused again and again or do they have to be thrown away after one use?
The cold packs can be used many times over and providing they're not dropped or bumped whilst frozen they should provide you with years of use.
Remember to keep them as flat as possible in the freezer when freezing them.

What is the capacity of the cold packs - if its over 100ml can you take this on a plane?
Because the cold packs are frozen when travelling, the 100ml issue isn't applicable since they are no longer considered a liquid but rather a solid.

It is highly recommended you do at least one trial run before your journey to make sure you are familiar with using the case, especially because conditioning the cold packs is the most important step. It will also give you time to ask us any questions you might have. 
Please note: the time needed to condition the cold packs will vary from home-to-home and will take longer or shorter, depending on the ambient conditions. You may need to set aside up to 45 minutes before the case will be ready to accommodate the medication. This is why a trial run is advised, so that you will know in advance how much time, in your home, you will need to set aside for the conditioning period, so that you are not caught short on the day of your trip.

The CoolMeds Classic comes with a detailed product user manual which must be read before using the case. It can be helpful to take it with you to show airport security to prevent the case from being opened unnecessarily.
