Description
The CoolMeds Companion isothermal case has been validated to safely transport 2-8°C medication for 18 to 24hrs*.

The CoolMeds Companion was designed in response to a growing demand for a 2-8°C case that could hold an increased quantity of larger pens and bottles, for a long period of time, without it being too large a case to carry.

The Companion case is like the GO case but has a wider cool cage that holds more pens, bottles, vials and syringes that won't fit into other 2 to 8°C cases. The cool cage secures the medication and together with the thermal sleeve, ensures the cold is distributed evenly to the contents. Please refer to the diagram which gives an indication as to what can fit in the CoolMeds Companion case.

The Companion comes with an integrated digital thermometer which provides peace of mind as the user will be able to monitor the medication's temperature without having to open the case. The internal thermometer batteries (2 x AG13 batteries) are included and spare batteries may be bought at most hardware stores and supermarkets.

The Companion is made from high-quality, hard-wearing material with multiple layers of insulation for maximum protection. The thermal sleeve absorbs the initial excess cold and distributes it evenly through to the contents of the cool cage and protects the medication from freezing or overcooling.

There are 2 specially shaped CoolMeds cold packs which encircle the cool cage. These cold packs provide a long cooling effect and may be used frequently. Cold packs can also be bought separately to keep as spare parts as they should be replaced every 24 months as the gel denatures over time.
