Silver-containing ointment dressings made of hydrophobic polyamide lattice tulle, with fibres coated with elemental silver;
they have an antibacterial effect against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria when in direct contact with the dressing
Prevents granulation tissue from penetrating the dressing
Impregnated with Neutral Triglycerides (Fatty Acids)
Does not contain Vaseline or Paraffin, leaving the wound residue free
Keeps wound edges soft and supple, avoiding contraction of scar tissue
Enhances non-adherent properties minimising pain and trauma on removal

Permits the passage of exudate and air

Excellent for open wounds

This is great dressing for open wounds and leg ulcers. This dressing promotes healing and new skin growth very quickly. I have used this on my husbands leg ulcer and an open wound on his wrist when he badly broke his arm, the large 40mm hole healed up very fast.

I discovered Mepore just over a year ago. What a pity I did not discover it earlier. I suffer from a recurring problem on my thighs and the only dressing that keeps it under control when it flares up is Mepore.
